As H13 air-quench-hardening hot work die steel imported from the United States, 4Cr5MoSiV1 is representative steel grade with a wide range of uses in hot work die steel. Its properties and uses are basically the same as that of 4Cr5MoSiV steel. The applied standard is GB/T1299-2000.

The steel can withstand huge mechanical stress, as well as the i***ct and erosion of liquid metal flow.
Because of higher vanadium content, the steel¡¯s strength, toughness and thermal fatigue resistance and wear resistance in medium temperature (600 degrees) are better than that of 4Cr5MoSiV steel. Meanwhile, it has a small oxidation tendency and thermal deformation after air quenching.
